Raymarine is proud to debut its ground-breaking Pathfinder commercial radar in the UK market at Seawork 2024.

The technology marks a significant milestone in the company's commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions for the commercial marine sector. Pathfinder represents Raymarine's first IMO approved solid-state open array radar system, offering unparalleled performance, reliability, and ease of installation.

Pathfinder IMO Certified Commercial Radar

Pathfinder is tailored for vessels weighing up to 10,000 tons, catering to a range of maritime entities such as workboats, and OSV/deep water vessels. Its design facilitates effortless retrofitting, significantly lighter than other commercial radars in the market and, accompanied by small-diameter interconnect cables. This streamlined design not only simplifies cable runs but also greatly reduces installation time.

Driven by a fan-less, six-foot, low-profile open array antenna, Pathfinder guarantees exceptional clarity alongside an intuitive user interface. This highly advanced solid-state radar harnesses CHIRP pulse compression, delivering superior target separation and increased long-range resolution. The solid-state transmitter outperforms a 12kW magnetron, while meeting and surpassing all IMO performance requirements for target detection.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Pathfinder commercial radar at Seawork 2024,” said Richard Marsden, Sales and Marketing Manager, UK & Ireland, at Raymarine. “This innovative radar system underscores our commitment to providing commercial marine professionals with state-of-the-art technology that enhances safety, efficiency, and productivity.”

Raymarine will also showcase a range of FLIR thermal imaging cameras developed specifically for the maritime sector. From the compact M232 to the powerful M400 XR, they offer unparalleled visibility and situational awareness in challenging maritime environments. FLIR cameras enable operators to identify navigation aids, landmarks, and vessels with ease, day, or night.

"FLIR thermal imaging cameras are a game-changer for maritime surveillance and navigation," added Richard. "We are excited to demonstrate the capabilities of these thermal camera systems alongside Pathfinder providing Seawork attendees with a comprehensive overview of the strength in depth of our diverse marine technologies."

Seawork attendees are invited to visit the Raymarine stand Q58 on the quayside. Technology experts will be on hand to provide demonstrations and answer questions about these and other cutting-edge marine electronics solutions.
