Elling Yachts installs Raymarine
Netherlands-based Elling Yachts has chosen to install the latest Raymarine technology on the Elling E3 (13.8 m) and Elling E4 (14.95 m) motor yachts. Every three weeks a new Elling fitted with Raymarine’s e and c Series multifunction displays leaves the factory, with the latest deliveries being made to Estonian, Russian, Swedish and Dutch customers.
Elling Yachts has chosen Raymarine because its customers want to be able to come on board, start the engine, switch on the instruments and go. This ease of use and intuitive operation is the main reason Elling has elected to install the latest e125 and e127 multifunction displays, and c Series as standard navigation equipment. The G Series, which provides a complete multifunction navigation and entertainment solution, is also offered as an optional and customisable solution.
The Raymarine multifunction displays give radar, chartplotting and fishfinder power in a single viewable display. It can be a powerful single function display or a complete navigation system on a single screen. The latest e125 and e127 MFDs take networking and integration to new levels, utilising the full power and capability of WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Anton van den Bos, Director of Elling Yachts, says, “We designed the sturdy Elling for cruising on oceans and inland waterways in all weather conditions and so we install the four foot Raymarine open array digital scanner as standard because it not only looks great, it performs well in the conditions we expect our boats to operate in.
“The Raymarine navigation equipment provides optimal information for safety at sea via clear displays and the intuitive user interface. Raymarine is user-friendly, even if our customers have no prior experience of using Raymarine they can still use the equipment straight away, and the worldwide service network is unbeatable - which is vital given our worldwide market. In fact, Russia is a big market for us and Raymarine was the first equipment that could be programmed in Russian.”
Neptune Marine Shipbuilding builds the Elling motor yachts. It produces between 15 and 20 Elling yachts a year with a choice of aft deck length - one of the largest production runs for a single model worldwide. To date more than 200 Ellings have been produced.
