Raymarine exhibits at Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show
Gulf Development Systems, Raymarine’s distributor in the United Arab Emirates will be supporting the Dubai pre-Owned Boat Show, taking place at Dubai Creek Marina from 17-19 November.
The event attracts buyers looking for pre-owned boats in the region, with space for craft up to 147 feet long on show in the water and on land. This is the second time that Raymarine has exhibited at the event, and this year will prove particularly exciting with the launch at the show of the new e7 multifunction display unit, i70 instruments and Raymarine’s hand held thermal night vision cameras.
Jimmy Grewal of GDS says, “While it’s a sensible financial option to look at buying a pre-owned boat, buyers still want the very latest and most technologically advanced electronics, safety and communications equipment on board. We help buyers equip the boat to their own specification, and personalized to their requirements. The i70 instruments for example, are perfect for retrofitting, as they have the same physical footprint as Raymarine’s earlier ST60 and ST70 ranges, but offer a much larger screen, easier user interface, brighter screens consuming less power, and of course, the added safety feature of being the only instrument system with an AIS tracking screen.”
For boaters looking for the most technically innovative and intuitive way to access information and control on-board systems, the e7, says GDS, is the answer. The e7 hybrid touch multifunction display, launched just months ago, has already become popular on vessels of all sizes thanks to its advanced power, expanded networking, and wireless connectivity. The e7 is also particularly easy to retrofit on board, thanks to its compact size and choice of trunion mounting in an optional bracket, or flush mounting.
GDS will also be promoting Raymarine’s new handheld TH24 and TH32 thermal night vision cameras. Increasingly popular for their ability to enable boaters to see clearly in total darkness, night vision cameras have key safety benefits when identifying hazards and vessels or people approaching under cover of darkness.
Raymarine’s TH24 and TH32 hand held models now provide an affordable option for those wanting to incorporate this safety feature on board.
Andy King, Director of Sales and Marketing at Raymarine says, “We are delighted that our distributor in the region, Gulf Development Systems, is supporting the Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show. With the i70 and e7 in particular, Raymarine has introduced highly technologically advanced products, which bring benefits not only in terms of ease of use, but also in their viewing characteristics, connectivity and safety features.”
