C Series Widescreen group image

Wednesday 18 February 2009 – Raymarine, world leaders in marine electronics, will be showing its latest technology with a host of new products on display on stand H2-1 at the Dubai International Boat Show.

Raymarine’s multi function displays – a high resolution colour screen enabling access to a host of navigation, communication, safety and even entertainment systems – now come in a variety of sizes and shapes from the compact A Series to the top of the range, dual station G Series with its total information, command, and data systems.

New on show for the first time in Dubai is the C Series Widescreen, complete with newly launched digital radar domes.  The C Series Widescreen offers three sizes of new widescreen format multi-function display with built-in GPS, dual display networking, embedded ready-to-navigate cartography and new, easy to use, intuitive navigation controls.

For those looking for compact multi-function displays the powerful new A Series is in great demand thanks to its feature-packed performance.  Offering benefits found in top of the range Raymarine systems, the A Series chartplotters and chartplotter/fishfinders pack a punch in the integral technology department with built-in high-sensitivity GPS antenna, pre-loaded cartography, built-in HD Digital fishfinding module (on selected versions) and engine monitoring -  all viewable on a strikingly clear high-resolution screen.   From RIBs to fishing boats and cruisers, whether sail or power, the A Series hits the spot with those fitting new electronics for the first time, or upgrading outdated technology.

Also new, and demonstrating Raymarine’s advanced digital technology, are the Super HD and HD Digital radar antennas.  Users can choose between 4kW or 12kW open array scanners.  Raymarine’s proprietary technology offers superior performance, processing and target definition – giving leisure boaters the quality of radar only previously available from top of the range commercial systems.

Raymarine will be showing a range of marine VHF radios.  Offering users the choice of stand alone   radios, through to integrated systems, Raymarine’s range of marine VHF radios, come complete with DSC (Digital Selective Calling) functionality, state of the art technology and rugged waterproof construction for life at sea.

Raymarine is renowned for its autopilot technology – it was the first manufacturer of autopilots in the UK more than 30 years ago – and 2009 sees Raymarine setting new standards with its SPX range of autopilots.  Integrating new technology and innovations in design and software, the SPX series (SmartPilot X) has been redesigned to provide the latest generation of autopilot products.  This new series offers the high accuracy, reliability and a host of the most useful features required from an autopilot, all fully aligned to meet user needs.  With innovation and ease of use the watch words, the range caters for almost every type of vessel from fishing boats to world class racing yachts, as well as sub-30 foot lightweight sports boats, and tiller steered craft.
